Mitrovica – 21.09.2018

Caritas Kosova, within its “Peace and Diversity” program this year, together with the Women’s Human Rights Association in Mitrovica and NGO “7Arte” in cooperation with NGOs, “Birlik”, RADC, Youth Center “Diakonia”, Mitrovica Rock School, “Saraj Simit” and ShFMU “Bedri Gjinaj” marked the Peace Day with the “Peace Walk” march in Mitrovica Square and with a diversified program reciting the children of all communities in their language , Albanian, Turkish, Bosnian, Roma and modern dance songs were performed, applauded by the hall filled with audience.

While at the end this event was concluded with the promotion of traditional foods from all communities that were exposed and could be enjoyed in the exhibition space at the Cultural Center “Rexhep Mitrovica”.

At the same time, in northern Mitrovica, a workshop was held with children from Roma and Serb communities where children through messages expressed peace.

All this tells us how rich our city is for culture and diversity.
